Crawford 465/2a: obverse: head of Apollo; behind, A; reverse: curule chair with wreath. Coin of C. Considius Paetus, 46 BCE.
Looking for help on the obverse. Any ideas of the function of the "A"?
Among Republicans, I've found a similar mark (the same A) only on Paetus's coins. Some of his issues of this type have the A, others do not. Thanks for any help!
