mrwhatisit, it's not just wedged in on the end of a $2.01 roll, is it?
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

E-bay unsearched roll hunting - what an endless scam, fascinating how quickly people will throw their money away.

I counted the roll; it came out as $1.95, so the cent was counted as a nickel

Sadly (or perhaps this is a relief), you're not alone on this one. I follow RobFindsTreasure on YouTube and he's been getting a lot of cents in nickel rolls too lately; it seems sorting algorithms in the machines have just gone downhill.

One time earlier this year, I was dumping my coins and I had one half dollar in my jar, but the machine counted two; another time, I saw a nickel get counted as a quarter with my own eyes. At least those errors worked in favor of my bank account balance, but they would certainly be frustrating for the person who got my coins in their rolls.
