1986 One Ounce American Gold Eagle At Spot; Any Authenticity Concerns?

Roma2021 Pillar of the Community Italy 1130 Posts	Posted 12/19/2023 06:28 am Hello everyone, I don't find many American gold eagles in Rome. I was offered this 1986 at spot. Roma2021 Pillar of the Community Italy 1130 Posts	Posted 12/21/2023 2:28 pm I have some general reservations about buying full ounce coins in Rome. I think I prefer to buy in the U.S. I don't know . . . I have bought some Kruggerands and quarter ouce eagles, a few soverigns, and those I felt much more comfortable with. The shop also isn't the most comfortable for buying. In hand, the coin had a few pin hole sized marks in the planchette and I probably just wasn't in the mood. I may think about it over the holiday. There was also A LOT going on in my non-coin-world-life today . . . so I'd rather think on it. But thank you all for your reassurances.
