I have a 1943 D Wheat penny and wanted to know if it's genuine. I'm new to collecting and going through some old coins I have.

If any experienced member wants to help me with some information that would be awesome.

Thank you!

Looks real to me. What make you question it?

Looks like a normal '43-D steelie to me, too. It should be magnetic, Needanswers.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Needanswers,Best test to see if its copper or zinc is to see if it is attracted to a magnet. If it is it is not copper. Next test would be weight.Value for your coin is a few cents in that condition.
