Every year I think about it, but never make it down there.

jbuck, you need to make the trip. HUGE show, and lots of non-US coins. It's quite affordable compared to some other big shows. I've been to several FUN and summer FUN shows, they never disappoint.

This year however, I'm going to the NY International Numismatic Convention for the first time instead of FUN. Going to a show and not having to see a single Morgan dollar much less display cases full of them sounds like a dream come true.

I can say for a fact that there is no want for Morgan dollars at the local coin shows.

I've never been to a coin show but live near the FUN one in Orlando. I've inherited a collection and am just starting to learn.

It sounds like these shows are mostly to buy / sell, is that correct? Are there any opportunities to learn about the basics there?

The FUN show also has a number of presentations on different numismatic topics and a wide range of exhibits displayed in a section of the convention room.

I welcome the Morgan dollars, especially the pretty toned ones. Very little U.S. stuff at the Canadian shows, so nice change for me.

I've convinced my wife to attend this year. She has no interest in coins, but at least can keep track of my kids while I wander around.

I was just at the show today. It's HUGE. Signage is a problem though as it took me 45 minutes to even find the entrance, walking through endless amounts of empty exhibition buildings and spaces.
But overall a good visit, as I bought a couple of banknotes, some world coins, and a nice half-Ducaton.

I spent over 6 hours there today. Took my daughters around for coin trivia, then got alone time to explore. I picked up a few 2023 coins on my list, a couple Indian Head cents to fill holes, a couple nice banknotes, and silver for my nephews.

Yeah, if you're new to the OCCC, it's HUGE. The FUN website will tell you which location the show is in. I made that mistake the first time I went, my Uber dropped my off at the main OCCC entrance. :)

And I want details on that half Ducaton!
