2011-P-Bronze-Colored-Jefferson-Nickel

I found this bronze looking nickel yesterday, while looking through my pocket change. It stood out. Is there any info on this odd looking nickel ? This is my 1st post. Next image will include both Obverse & Reverse images in one picture.

I want thank administrators for the tutorials. I couldn't have done it without. Pixir !

Thank You Community !

to the CCF You've come to a great site to learn. This coin looks like it's toned from something in it's environment. We call it environmental toning.

I'm believing the majority because of all the combined years of knowledge are more often correct than not. That's why I joined the Community, to bounce ideas and opinions off one another. The nickel is noticeably thinner though. I know what it's like to fall in love with a coin and hope everyone is wrong. It's beautiful and probably just a modest find. Always nice to feel that rush of discovery . It's going into my reference collection library. Thanking Everyone

environmental toning. Some nickels take on a gold or copper coloring due to its copper content in the alloy.
