I just found this quarter in my quarter jar--it is a 1992 180 and I have searched the web for hours trying to get some info on it. Can anyone help me out? It is a Canadian British Columbia coin.

I assume you're saying you have a coin rotated 180 degrees. What exactly is your question? I already know everyone here will ask for pictures. If not familiar use a mirror to show both sides of the quarter in the same photo.

Did you know that all Canadian coins since 1908 are rotated compared to US coins.
Yours are coin alignment, ours are medal alignment.
Your quarter is normal.

Also do not put the staples that close to the coin and also try to use a flat clinch stapler.

I use Numista to look up things like this. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces363.html
It shows "Orientation Medal alignment [two up arrows]" which answers your question. Numista also shows thickness in addition to weight and diameter, info most other sites don't include. I think world-wide, medal alignment is more common than coin alignment.

The United States is one of the few remaining countries to continue to use coin alignment. There used to be a few in Europe (most notably France), but when those countries switched to the euro, their coins switched to medal alignment, as that what was designated as the euro standard.

So in that sense, this Canadian coin is "normal", it's American coins that are weird and "upside-down".
