Up for review is a Tidy House dollar. If you are not familiar with these, here is a little background.

From APMEX, "One of the best-known cases of Silver Dollars being used for promotional purposes, Tidy House Morgan dollars are prized by collectors for the sulfur-rich cardboard in which they were distributed which causes rich, natural toning on the coins within. Tidy House Products Co. was a manufacturer of household cleaning products which was acquired by Pillsbury in 1960. As a promotion Tidy House sold BU Silver dollars and BU half dollars at a small premium. The coins are believed to have come from original mint bags purchased by Tidy House.

From the CU forum, "Bob Osterholm, was the President and COO in charge of daily operations. He was the one who came up with the promotional idea for the Tidy House coins and had a fairly large collection until late in his life."

woah a beauty.. Auction photos arent much help & I bet the tv photos lie. I wanted to say Ms66.. but will go ms65... Upon further review it does appear there are marks to the cheek under the tone.. Will lower my guess to ms64
I've been collecting for a couple years... Favorite Coin's are Standing Liberty quarters, Working on my type set | Coffee, Corvettes, Coins & the CCF what could be better?

2nd gen Tidy House holder. I have 3 of these and all of them toned nicely from the holders.

Beautiful coin! Hard one to grade from photos. Looks at least MS-64, based on the glamour shot
