@fil, first welcome to CCF. Second, I wonder if this is a capped die or the like. It would help to know the weight and to see a pic of the other side though. Thx.

I suppose it could be a few different things, but as the guys said, it does have the appearance of being struck through a die cap.

to the CCF and The only difference I'd call it struck through a mid-stage capped die.
