This quarter appears to have post mint damage, but what looks like possible chips are raised and had what appears to be possible air pockets. Does anyone think that it is possible that the quarter had chip marks then was hit? Thanks

Thanks, Dearborn. How do you think the raised area that the arrow points to was formed? It also looks like what happens to solder when flux is trapped and heats up. The solder "bubbles" as it hardens.

I think it is just hit marks that push the metal into a pile.

yep, Odd guy got to your answer first - the metal is just piled up from the glancing blow the quarter took. Like a Bulldozer pushing dirt.
