jfeed Pillar of the Community United States 1259 Posts	Posted 01/08/2024 5:36 pm Oh boy...here we go. My daughter gave it to me from Christmas and when I asked her where she got it, she just smiled? No reeding at all and weighs 2.17 grams compered to normal 2.24 grams and a bit smaller. Yes..I'm pretty sure it's PMD, but note the difference in the actual thickness compared to normal dime. Also the rim is deeper that a normal dime.. If the reeding was ground off, then the new rim had to be squeezed back on without damaging the devices. I just reviewed some of the previous post on CCF and the one from July 2023 makes me feel like I stepped on a stink bug. Why would anyone spoon a dime,it is very small?It would be very difficult to spoon a clad coin, so some type of roller might have been used on it? John1 Report this Post to the Staff
