Pretty close to ms63. Is that a crack on top of wheat stalk on right?

55 S is a tough find. With an RPM to boot and in great condition too. Trifecta!

Very nice looking coin. RPM-001 is one of my favorites. I search 55-S BU rolls in hopes of finding them. Yours is a better than average looking specimen. Checking markers, can you determine which die stage it is?

Well, it's not EDS, it has no die chip in the left wheat lines, and the obverse die scratches are showing die wear, so it is probably Stage C.

Here is where I always have a hard time. If there is a die break or chip how does it disappear without changing the reverse die? so a chip should occur later down the line. I thought polish lines come and go. I know others can help me with a simple explanation?

You did answer your own question. The reverse die was changed.

Quote: ...I thought polish lines come and go. I know others can help me with a simple explanation? A given polish line can't come and go. If a die is polished, and then many coins are struck from the die, the die polish lines will start strong and then wear. They may disappear completely when the die is polished again, to be replaced by new lines, which wear from there.
