I was roll searching today, and came accross two lincolns that stuck out, and I believe the 1972 is an error, If you have an idea on this please inform me about these two coins.

1. 1972 lincoln ( no mint mark) The Rim on the obverse side, is signifacatly wider on the bottom of the coin, and thinner at the top, Is this a punch or die error of some type ? I look closer but the date may be doubled as well.

2. 1967 lincoln,, has normal green color in some spots, as copper does, but Abe's Coat is a reddish orange color, and its only his coat. Is this an error of some type or did some kid take a marker to the coin ? lol

1. Nope...that's a slightly misaligned die, and these are very common during that era.

2. Could be paint, could be lacquer, could be a lot of things, but what it isn't is an error. Sorry.

Two strikes.
