This is an 1835 original. It has the cherry blossoms on either side of the coin. It did have some corrosion on the one side. I only soaked it for a day to remove the corrosion.
These were made for several years. Can't remember now just how long, but I think at least 10 years maybe longer. I do not have access to my reference materials here. This is a quite common coin.
