I just found out about this today. NGC has a free population report no membership or subscription needed.

You can get combined PCGS & NGC populations for specific coins in specific grades from Heritage; all you have to do is join (free), and access their Auction Archives which contain just about all the research material you'll ever need for just about any coin. They have over 100,000 Morgans in their database, for instance.
