I have had this coin for a week or so and thought I saw a video online taking about the mint errors regarding the silver plating. This one that I have appears to be peeling on the reverse side up in the right hand corner. What are your thoughts? In the right light you can see the greenish raw material of the quarter underneath. John1 Moderator United States 56855 Posts	Posted 01/15/2024 04:42 am Need a close up. The U.S. Mint did not plate those coins.If it is silver plated it was done after it left the mint. There are companies that plate them with silver, gold and platinum which makes them PMD.Also could use a photo of the edge. John1 Report this Post to the Staff

It does however not appear to be dirty as I have picked at it with a toothpick and some other things whatever it is it's not coming off. I will see what I can do to get better photos.
