*** Edited by Staff to Add Denomination to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***

I appreciate any feedback. I've been doing Morgans for years. Quarters are smaller and the nomenclature seems to be a little different. My eyes are also adjusting to Washington quarters..

@ind, it seems like you are asking about the grade of this coin, so I'm going to move your thread over to that subforum. If you indeed think that there is a mint error or variety, then I can move it back here. Thx.

Yes, a proof quarter, and if I were to guess a grade, PR-64 or 65 to my eyes

Proof quarters are always going to have a noticeable gap between the E and S of States on the reverse and is a distinguishing feature of the Philly minted proof quarters.

Be on the lookout for Circulation strikes with a Type-B proof die struck reverses minted in the tail end of the fiscal years 1956-1964 to make up for yearly mintage quotas. These are all scarce, but findable and worth significantly more than the average silver quarter of those years...

I don't understand what you are asking about. Please restate your question.

Looks like a proof, but much better pics needed for grading.

glare is pretty bad which if the coin is proof is a challenge to photograph to start with. the photos you presented make to coin appear to be an impaired proof. if you want a better assessment repost without any flash or overhead lighting. use a darker background like black as white is too reflective. if the coin is in a holder remove it if you can

Washington's are a tough series to grade. strike issues and devices that do not have high amount of detail add to this. personally I would never build a higher end raw set of them as its too easy to miss the grade unless they were slabbed already

I'm going with PF60 or PF61

My fault for not asking a clearer question. I am new to quarters and new to this forum. My question is:: Is this a Bar 5? I am not used to asking about grading though I do appreciate the feed back. Here is another. How do you reduce glare on proof coins. I am using digital microscopes for photos.. Thank you all for your attention
