Toning could be from something as simple as washing it with soap and water.

AU55 maybe 58. a little too much glare on the obv. show us better photos without overhead light. color is odd as its not a typical progression however copper can do you funny things depending on how it was stored, humidity etc...

Significant wear on the cornice and the rest of the memorial. Since this coin has seen a lot of circulation this is chemical exposure toning and generally not market acceptable. That said, I like it and would keep it. :)
