Finally got around to make a quick clip of a possible bronze 1983 penny found in circulation in 2022. Can't believe how fast time flew...

Still haven't gotten around to sending in for grading.

Perhaps a goal for 2024!

Cheers

Considering its more rare in quantity than the '43 copper (if it were my coin) I'd be heading to the closest TPG asap.

That coin needs to be in a top tier TPG slab - then show us the photos.

I messaged PCGS. I think the submission form and even the membership levels are still confusing me. But hopefully will get help this week and will send in next week.

Just get the lowest level membership. When it comes time to ship, don't be cheap, use registered, USPS mail.

GOOD LUCK and thanks for the report!

I have a couple other coins I'm considering sending in at the same time. Just to get the best deal I can.

Yes shipping and insurance is going to be like $150 or so round trip I believe. Crazy that I can opt for a gps tracker for the package as well. May opt for it.

Just put it into the mail for authentication with a couple other favorites.

Lots of excitement building here. But I think PCGS is going to need like a month or more to return these to me.

There's another way to do this.

I worked with a PCGS Authorized dealer to submit the one coin I paid to grade. No membership fees, no forms, no shipping, just a simple fee to add my coin to their next submission. Total cost was less than $50.00 and they provided updates as the coin moved through the process.

That's cool. I opted for the more expensive membership to get a higher number of free vouchers. I believe all-in it's $45 a coin. However I'm paying for a ticket too a coin show I don't think I'll go to which is a waste.
