Yes, I agree 100% with your assessment. Those black spots are a bit of a bummer, but otherwise, this coin has the added bonus of being in pretty good shape. Will you save it in a 2x2?

That's a great BIE and on a newer coin (1998).

Nice twofer. There are a few of these. Especially in the 50s, when they ran the dies to death.

Very nice. This is the second 1998 LMC with both a Spike Head and BIE die break I've seen. The first is listed as SKH-1c-1998-03 & LDB4-1998-008. Listed on 04/11/2016. https://cuds-on-coins.com/lincoln-c...s-1990-1999/
If you would like yours listed, follow the instructions in the link below and send the required images. Note the special instruction for Spike Heads and BIEs at the bottom of the page.

JC Stevens - That's cool - I will work on getting you some photos for the 1998 coin. I looked at my other spike heads and compared them against the ones on your site and I had 2 that looked like they already had a match, SKH-1C-2005-03 and SKH-1C-2015-12. I have 4 other spike heads that I did not find on your site. They are 1989, 2016, 2017 and 2022 pennies. I may also send you photos of those.
