This coin has a mark on the reverse between column 2 & 3 going west from Lincoln. I am guessing it is from a die clash, but I don't recognize what it would be from on the obverse. Any thoughts?
I thought about that, so I soaked it in acetone, and it didn't affect it at all. I know that acetone does not always remove all unsightly blemishes, but I don't want to get too aggressive with it.
Could just be a stain but the 90's were infamous for odd clashing, sometimes thought to have been dies dropped on the other, as opposed to the way typical clashing happens, which to me, would make it a die dent.
