Hi,

I have 3 coins : 2 1/2 dollar 1926, 5 $ 1884 and 10 $ 1903S.

AU50 / melt value are 1,5 for the 1884 and 1903S while the 1926 is about 2 times.
The PCGS survival estimate are 65000, 800 and 2250 coins.

How come the 1926 is so popular against the the two others who seems to have a much smaller eestimate ?

Thans for your answer.

Etienne

The $2.50 Indian has a popular design and the short series is affordable to collect with one key date. The $5 Liberty is a long series and expensive for the average person to collect, and it has a stopper 1854S. The $10 Liberty is a long series and about a dozen coins that are very expensive to collect. It gets down to supply and demand as most collectors of the $5 Liberty and the $10 Liberty have a type coin.
