I have two Native American dollar coins with the edge dates reversed as compared to the others..is this an error?

The edge lettering is applied in the second step. Coins are struck, dumped into a tote, and dumped from the tote into the second machine. Random chance.

PCGS definitions (based on Presidential dollars):

POSITION A - Edge lettering reads upside-down when the President's portrait faces up

POSITION B - Edge lettering reads normally when the President's portrait faces up

Also applies to the other small dollars with edge lettering.
