Hi, I found this coin in the bottom of an old wooden writing slope which I had aquired and was wondering what it was.
It measures about 18mm across

It is a Roman antoninianus by Tetricus II (I think, he looks beardless, Tetricus I has a beard on his coins), with Pax on the reverse. Tetricus I and II were usurper emperors in Gaul and ruled 271-274 AD. Nice find!

I would suspect this is a barbarous imitation based on the design and legends.
