Hello experts
I am an amateur collector, I recently discovered a 1982 penny and I wonder if this is a small copper date coin. Please help me
In case I want to send coin grade to NGC, which service should I choose for this coin
Thanks a lot!

@duybui, first welcome to CCF. Second, please start a new thread with pictures of your other 1982 Cent so that we can evaluate that one too. Thank you.

Duybui. here is a link to modern LMC's on the PCGS price guide site. scroll down to your coins and select the PCGS# for the coin in question. in the top right corner of the page you will the coin with the caption "comparison" select that and you will see the comparisons between all the different varieties for that coin that you can compare yours too. you will also see values based on grade

https://www.pcgs.com/prices/detail/.../most-active

as for having a coin graded and slabbed the costs are extremely prohibitive unless you have a coin that has a value that warrants it.
for PCGS you would need at least an entry level subscription of $69 plus the grading fee. most are $22. then you have postage and insurance both ways. as you can see you can chew up the entire value of a coin real fast.

hope that helps

Just a normal cent. The one you want to look for is the 1982 Small Date copper cent. https://www.numismaticnews.net/worl...copper-found
