There's a 1935-D Buffalo nickel for sale that has a really cool RPM I'd like to buy.

It is in great condition overall, and has a severe circular mark on the obverse in the field in front of the nose.

Can you please share your opinions on the mark?

Is it damage that might cause the coin to get "details" grade if sent in?

It looks like a circular bit of metal with a star that is a strike through retained to me.

Also, any guesses on the grade it might get?

Unfortunately, this is all have to make the call. It is the limit of the resolution of the image that is online. I'm talking to the seller to try to get their input and might be able to get an additional photo.

Pictures aren't sharp enough to tell what's going on.

Personally, I'd avoid this coini if you're looking for a nice Uncirculated Buff.

I followed up with the seller, Littleton coin company.
The images they post are representative, and likely not the actual coins for sale.
That particular potential retained strikethrough, and potential RPM that made my heart skip a beat when I came across it, is no longer in stock.
