Seller graded it VF-20. I agree, but I'm wondering if the streaks on the reverse won't detail it.

VF20 is possible but I think maybe F15. Petite head, small letters. There are 8 die varieties of these but can't get the exact one. Streaks look to be just striations from alloying the metal.

You are of course right. Large cents were made of pure copper to the extent that smelting processes at the time allowed. I mistakenly thought they were made of bronze, a copper alloyed with tin. However, the copper planchets could contain impurities that give the "not completely alloyed metal" effect otherwise known as a "woody." Planchet impurities are found across all denominations and metal contents. It is not a copper problem, it is a refining problem.
