Interesting, never seen anything like it. Could be a casting error because the characters are warped.

unusual , purchased in a lot with mainly Chinese coins , could be korean maybe , ill keep looking thanks dave

It's a Qianlong coin, but I can't tell if it's a crude copy, or a normal coin that's been part-melted in a fire and filed back flat again.

Sorry, just adding in my Two Cents (or rather tongbaos) here- it's a Qianlong tongbao and probably real IMO. These were made by the millions & I don't think it's very strange to see them like this in China- a lot of them were also worn on clothes/necklaces or made into other things by various ethnic groups, so not surprised to see particularly crude/bashed up ones (though I recognise this seems to be mostly casting flaws). IMO it adds to the charm!

most likely a balinese copy, the balinese made very crude copy coins of Chinese cash coins for various purposes.
