Not my field, but looks pretty beat-up with ED issues.

Dearborn, unless you have a specific comment or question regarding the coins you are posting I suggest you post them under the general "Post Your United Kingdom (Great Britain) Coin Aquisitions" topic link.

@Dearborn I think you're overreacting here. You was (fairly politely) suggested to post coins in the acquisitions thread to avoid the subforum being littered with new posts. It's not an unreasonable request and doesn't mean people don't appreciate them. If everyone created a new topic for each coin they had, then it'd be impossible to really find anything amongst all the posts, and those needing genuine help wouldn't be seen.

We'd all like to see your coins, Dearborn, so maybe create a new thread titled "my british collection" or something like that, and post the little lovelies in there as a continuous thread?

@Collector28: Did I overreact?
Of course I did - I wanted to. to see the reactions I'd get here.
You see I think that the British area and the way it is set up is very narrow and limited.

Go look at the US forum area - there is a place to just post up coins (Modern and Classic forums.
Under each of them are sub forums for errors, and varieties, the also for just grading. And then there is a separate area under the main heading for paper notes and the such,
Same with the Canadian area. Heck a former British colony has it set up that way for all of the South Pacific region.
What do the British get? ONE main area for everything.
I thought that just posting my coin in that area was ok - but to my surprise I get a big NOPE not here you don't....
I wanted to post each of my English coins in a separate topic to get responses on each coin separately - without prompting anyone of what to look for (just in case I missed something.)
Most times when something is posted in a general topic - the most common response is "nice coin", or "Fantastic". Seeing how I put a lot of time in researching these ancient relics, I wanted to be taught about them beyond what I could find.

@Dearborn I am on board with you on that. It's criminal just how little space the UK branch gets here - there's a bazillion US subforums!

Your coins are lovely btw - please start a thread with them.

I also enjoy looking at your coins. Please do start a thread showing them. Now I am retired and have no money for buying (old) money it is good to see somebody else's.

Can I suggest you number the coins in the thread to make discussions about the individual items easier to follow?
