Yes - a good coin to have as an example of Queen Anne's reign. The E* below the bust indicates it was minted in Edinburgh.
Prior to the Act of Union Scotland minted their own coinage in different denominations from England. Part of the deal was that the Edinburgh mint would stay after Union, but now issue coins in line with the rest of the Realm - hence the E and E* issues. It did not last long and the Edinburgh mint soon closed - the got round the agreement on a technicality by move the mint masters from Edinburgh to London!

Great information Paddy! thanks.
I saw the E* but could not find a reference of which mint it was from. I already had it marked on my 2x2.

A nice circulated Anne that wears its age well, and shows evidence of its past life in commerce. Edinburgh, as noted; the obverse seems to have a substantially large die break above ATIA, where a crack worsened until a piece of the die chipped off or was in the process of doing so.
