*** Edited by Staff to Add Denomination to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***

Good afternoon everyone, I was looking at some coins today and I was trying to figure out if this 1971 was a type 1 or type 2, so I went to Youtube and saw a video about the FS-401, AKA Peg Leg, it looks like it to me but I have amateur eyes so I am presenting this to our wonderful community for examination. I have 2 examples the first three pictures are from the one with the error and the last picture will be the one I think is absent the error. My untrained eye also did not notice a double die obverse. Thanks in advance for all of your help and I hope you all enjoy your day.

Yes, it is what considered as Peg Leg, not uncommon but it is desirable to some collectors.
