 Thanks for posting that PCGS Image Hondo. AS you can see, there are no polishing lines on the PCGS example, yours do. That in itself would preclude it from being an SMS issue coin. |

That article though left out some facts. Like all known examples to this day were certified at the time of Eva Adams death. Not a single 1964 SMS coin has shown up in the wild. Any denomination.

The die scratches or polishing lines on the real 64SMS coins are nowhere near as big or deep as OPs coin. That's what we're getting at.

I forget that Dearborn has cataracts, the SMS coin probably looks near perfect to him. When are you getting that surgery, John?

I didn't realize how much of my vision I had lost - especially colors - until afterwards. But don't worry about the surgery - it's a snap. There ya go, Hondo said there's nothing to it! Let me know how it goes, I think I have an early onset of this. Night driving is horrid and it's almost like there is a grey haze all the time, even in daytime....
