*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***

This looks like possibly a die clash, but if it is, I can't make it out. Any ideas? Thanks for any help...

Not a Die Clash. Just stains and damage. PMD.

Better images are usually required to examine a coin, We can only go by what you post, in this case a stained cent.

Can you post up a full image of the obverse? - It could be a lamination, but it could also just be damaged from a scrape.
