I know of one that is very honest and one that will rip you off. Anyone have any good/bad experiences with coin dealers in Louisiana? Report this Post to the Staff

biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 04/14/2009 4:40 pm I know of one good dealer in LA but I am not sure if he has a shop or not, Lynn Ourso of New Orleans Rare Coins(despite the name, he is based in the Baton Rouge area). He does do alot of shows though so that may be the best way to see his wares. I get to see him once a year at a fall show in St. Louis and he always has coins that I lust after, especially early Seated Liberty material Report this Post to the Staff

afernbaugh Valued Member United States 263 Posts	Posted 04/15/2009 3:50 pm I have had dealings with Lynn Ourso and can say he is top notch. We have traded some coins over the years and he has shopped shows for me since I don't go to shows often. I do not know the Louisiana Gold person but his store front is not well stocked; it appears to me that he is a silver and gold broker that also deals in coins but is not what I think of as a "coin" person.
