Well, I never really worried or cared about my phone camera capabilities. While work in progress, I'm getting a better idea how to manipulate settings for sharper images that better reflect the true color.

The mintage on this one is on the lower side at 63k. I think this is C-2 based on the missing leaf fraction to the left of the vine on the opposite side of the double berries at 9 o'clock. Anyone know the rarity on this one? I see PCGS has the overall population at R4.8.

Thoughts?

VF35. On the fence about whether it grades straight. 1 in date looks like it has some damage. Obverse surfaces not as attractive as in reverse.

30 details, environmental damage obverse with a dig at S8 / reverse has a cut above and to the right of HALF

Not a terrible-looking coin by any means, but it does have a few issues.

My grade is VF20, with unfortunately enough minor scrapes/knocks to make it a 'details' coin.

CQR says C-2 is a R-1. The variety is distinguished by the curl located between 2 and 5 (per CQR).

This is my example of C-1 which has the curl located above 5.

VF-35 straight grade. This one matches the PCGS example for that grade.

shes the more common 13 star variety. pretty good dig at K2 obv. as well as a pretty good hit to 1 in the date add to that a cut on the reverse and the may not grade straight.

technically I can see it at VF35. I think the surface issues and discoloration would net it down to VF30 possibly details for all the issues. not a fan of the eye appeal on this one.

Germanics, thanks for the information on the variety. With that, C-2 it is.

Panzaldi, I agree, not the best eye appeal. I picked it up about a yr ago for $60 when first entering the hobby. Today, it's not something I would purchase.
