From what I've gathered there are 17 DDOs for this date. I've been trying to Identify which one this is, but I am stumped. Maybe a Kenndy Half expert would know right away. If so could you give me tips on identifying these? Thank you.

Well, it certainly is a nice DDO - complete with split serifs.
what sites did you try to match up to?

EDIT: it might be: 1971-D DDO-013, 13-O-I-CCW on VV site.

another possibility could be 011

Can you post up the mm area to include part of the bust as well?

I've checked Variety Vista and ruled out some, but I realized I needed to learn more about Doubled Dies to figure it out. And, if I didn't know what classification it was I was never going to figure it out. Here is the mint mark location. Thank you.

I'm having an issue with loading a new picture. I've been trying to upload a picture of the Mint Mark location, but it comes up as a tiny box. I'm working on it. However, does the mint mark location stay consistent for each? I do know if the master hub is doubled the mint mark location will vary. The reason I ask is because the mint mark is below the bust, unlike any of the DDOs listed on Variety Vista. This is what I am trying to learn about, so all the info you want to lay on me would be much appreciated. I'll work on the photos. Thank you.

One of the confusing things for that era of Kennedy half dollars was that there were apparently multiple master dies in use. This resulted in series doubling that does not appear on all dies, but does appear on quite a number of dies. Also, it is completely possible for a die to have both series doubling and also be a true doubled die. One of the challenges of using Variety Vista is that it isn't always clear if the doubling pointed out in their listings is series or die doubling. The mint mark position would at least narrow that down somewhat.

Your doubling on IN reminds me of the series doubling for 1971 or 1972. The doubling on WE TRUST does not. The E in Liberty seems particularly well defined, so if it were me, that's where I would start cross-referencing VV and Wexler. But I am a relative rookie at doubled dies; there are others here like atrox and Silviosi who know far more than I.

I posted this before but was unable to post any pictures, so I made a revised version. I believe this DDO is the 1971-D 50C DDO-012/DDR 006. Would this assumption be correct?
