I bought this coin as cleaned, the color looked a little odd, I liked it for the variety. S-1 star on reverse shield.
In hand there is no scuffing or evidence of a harsh cleaning, there is a bit of a glossy appearance when rolled through light, mostly on the obverse. Could this be a pocket rub wipe?
I would like to hear some thoughts on grade. Thanks!
I'm higher on this one. full headband with separation. more than 3/4 definition on the feathers. still has nice definition with beads around the neck. ribbon separation.
I'm at VF30. the issue is that the coin was cleaned but not harshly and the scratch in a key area. adding those together it may details but the star is really cool and I've never seen one before. anyone know how that occurred?
