I found this coin at the bottom of my mothers closet after she passed away in 2022. There were 2 coins that have been there for over 20 years. One is a 1966 Canadian 5 cent coin and the other is a 1976 New Zealand 2 cent coin. The 1966 Canadian 5 cent coin is clearly flawed, toned, and is some sort of error on both sides. I am not familiar with Canadian currency enough to analyze or decipher exactly what is off/wrong in detail and was hoping someone can assist me in recognizing what exactly could have happened. Any helpful information is truly appreciated.
Yes, someone smacked or put the top coin in a vice or under a hammer to impress the CE into the coin. Physical damage to the other on the rim. Both are spenders.
