1967 Kennedy Rim Clam Shell / Split?

Is this something you or someone you know would recommend sending out to be graded and slabbed? Would it be worth it? Any thoughts, opinions, words of sarcasm are appreciated! It looks to me like the line on the rim is just coloration from being a 40% silver half dollar.. (ps. IMHO, Even if the coin is separating along the rim, I don't think it would qualify as a "clamshell" because it hasn't split completely apart) Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
