This coin has a rainbow appearance. Don't know the correct term. Does it hurt the value of a coin to have this kind of finish?

Zincolns can and do take on any color depending on what they are exposed too. I don't know if it would increase or decrease in value.

As stated - Copper plated zinc cents can acquire a "Rainbow tone" from either heat or laying in you cars coffee cup holder and getting splashed with sugar solutions from your coffees or soft drinks.

Toning from environmental factors. It would grade AU. Just a spender.

Normal toning for copper. I see why you kept it. Value is 1 cent, the coin has been circulated. That said, I have rolls of interesting toned Zincolns that I've saved because I like them. Collect what you think is cool!

This is a common date circulated coin, no numismatic value.
