Oh, Mikey, my hero, you've hit the big-time once again. Great, informative and entirely relative to those of us that live in Canada. In the last 5 years Canada has been inundated with counterfeit toonies from China and Eastern Europe. You can buy any quantity of toonies for 5 cents or less directly from China and they are ordered by the tens of thousands and placed into circulation. There are millions and millions of them circulating in Ontario and now also on the West Coast. For those who don't know him, Mike is the leading expert on counterfeit Canadian coins and has been recognized by the RCNA, RCMP, the Canadian government, The Royal Mint and even the US House of Representatives when they wanted/needed his input and knowledge when drafting some US legislation. Great podcast and worth a couple brews. Congrats Mike! https://open.spotify.com/episode/0F...aTtLxaeKokGC

This should be an interest to many, especially long time followers of this topic, this one, or the many other counterfeit topics here. It is a great listen and thank you for sharing it with us. It was also nice to get a little background on your life outside of your work with counterfeits. I appreciate all you do for the hobby. By the way, there are quick CCF shout-outs at 1:09:39 and 1:26:06 (and a link in the show notes, too).

You are much more long-winded than I remember. How many cigs did you have in that 1 1/2 hour? I like your seminars better.

Mike, had to listen to this. Had it on while I was looking at some large cents this morning. (what else would I be looking at) It was a good listen and very informative. No longer living in Canada, although aware of the problem, I don't live with it every day. This was educational and entertaining. "I said arrest him and then hung up" I burst out laughing at that one. I thought yep, that sounds like Mike. Well done buddy.
