I checked VarietyVista and wexler's for a 1982 DDR but I couldn't find any , I can see the split on BU of PLURIBUS and UNUM

It could be from doubled master die but It's too minor to be listed.

It certainly has the appearance of notching. I don't know that it would be too minor to list. The Wexler catalog and VV both have some subtle stuff listed for recent decades.

If we can have the DDR listings for 1981-P and 1991-P, I would say this one has at least a shot. uruman, the cost to get it examined by Brian Ribar for the Wexler nickel catalog is only $5 plus return postage. That's just my Two Cents, I don't know where Brian draws the line for official doubled die listings. YMMV.

Just for anyone wondering what I meant:

1981-D WDDR-001 "Best of": https://www2.briansvarietycoins.com...ngs/view/358
1981-D WDDR-002: https://www2.briansvarietycoins.com...ngs/view/359
1991-D WDDR-001: https://www2.briansvarietycoins.com...gs/view/1557
1991-D WDDR-002: https://www2.briansvarietycoins.com...gs/view/1584

I would argue that this new coin is of similar strength to the last three. It might also be too minor or an example of unusual MD—there is some metal lower on the lettering—but for $5 plus postage, I'd roll the dice for a little doubled die glory.

Perhaps not the desired outcome, but interesting nonetheless. Thanks for updating the thread. =)
