While I was looking through my pocket change and I found this 1974-D with what appears to be three die gouges at approximately 1:30 o'clock on the reverse. I found it cool. So , I just wanted to post it.

They look to be die dents, with the given pics, somewhat common. Clear closeups would be nice.

What is a Die Dent? I have not heard of that yet.

Thank you for the closeups. Here is a link for Error Ref and a pic below of some I have found. Die dents will take many shapes, forms and sizes and can be from different things falling on and damaging the die.

Alright. Give me until tomorrow. The pics I posted, I already had on this site and may have others on here. Regardless, I will find some that are also zinc based Lincolns that look a little different.
