A friend's inherited Peace dollar collection has an interesting 1925-P with multiple dots on the reverse with greenish hues. One dot seems to have some metal debris or a die break next to it.

It appears unattributed on VAMworld. There are no VAMs with dots described for 1925-Ps, only dots described on VAMs from other years.

Does anyone know what these dots are? Are they patterns on the die, or are they errors, like strikethrough retains of small metal debris? Given the greenish hue, they appear to have a higher copper content than the coin.

Also, my friend would like to know who to contact about seeing if this is an existing or maybe a new VAM?

I've attached some images including closeups and a couple of dot VAMs from different dates. I hope it is not overkill.

Likely just minor die flaws or post mint damage. Leroy Van Allen has retired from identifying Vams, has turned that job over to others. Your friend could join the discussion group on Vamworld.com and post the coin there, more VAM collectors on that site and they'd know about submitting a coin for VAM consideration.
