I'm just starting the identification process on this particular nickel. My eye was drawn to the blocky Frankenstein feet of the N and M in Unum. There is doubling along both the tops and bottoms of E Pluribus Unum. The M definitely exhibits tripling on the top, and possibly some adjacent letters show tripling as well. Around the bottom, almost all letters in United States of America show doubling and delicate split serifs.

A quick pass through Variety Vista and Wexler on BVC shows there are a number of possibilities. I will narrow it down tonight, and maybe get to markers tomorrow. But I was quite pleased with the pick, and I wanted to share the coin. =)

The features are honestly not a bad match for FS-801, but I rather doubt that I plucked a CPG nickel from the Internet ocean. Some of these listings are so similar that I'd be interested to know how the attributers decided they were unique catalog entries. Most don't seem to have any supporting markers listed.

I'm thinking it's just a DDR. Nice!
