New acquisition today. Thoughts? Thanks!  CHINA, Xin dynasty. Wáng Máng. AD 7/9-23. Æ Value Nine Hundred Spade (22x53mm, 13.63 g). Cast AD 10-14. Ci Bu Jiu Bai in archaizing jinwen (bronzeware script) / Blank. BN, Chinoises II -; Hartill 9.28. Green patina with thick earthen deposits. From the Norman Frank Collection. Congrats again.
Another question concerning the less detailed side (rev?).
My phone screen limits what is seen even when enlarged and I was wondering if there are Chinese characters amongst the background?
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

@pp55, the description from the catalog says that there is script in the obverse and is blank on the reverse so I think the researchers saw no writing on the other side. Hope that helps.
