january1may Pillar of the Community Russian Federation 5172 Posts	Posted 03/29/2024 11:30 am I checked copper coins with similar weight and size on Numista; by far the closest match to the symbols on picture 2 is this Pratabgarh paisa. Seeker55 Pillar of the Community United States 634 Posts	Posted 03/30/2024 8:13 pm Excellent ID, @january1may. I would call it a good match with the Partabgarh paisa variety listed in Numista. The writing in the first photo differs slightly, but the second photo is a match considering that this coin is struck very off-center, and the photo here is oriented 180 degrees from the photo in Numista. Here are eight more examples of Partabgarh paisas from Zeno. http://search.zeno.ru/index.php?v=0...2&e=&f=0&s=0 The first coin on this list (Zeno #98337) appears to be a good match for your coin, again considering the different striking positions on the flan and orientation of photos. A combination of unillustrated varieties and being off-centre make the ID rather obscure. Thanks @january for checking the specs on numista. I'll have to try to remember this more often!
