Hello, Recently I have been in a bad rut. No money for coin rolls to hunt, and I'm even behind by at least 2 months on my Coin World and Coin Values reading. So, any advice or words of encouragement? Thanks, Rich Rich M. - Collector since 2008

What do you mean no $ for coin rolls to hunt? Last I checked, you can get a roll of cents for 2 quarters. Surely you have 2 quarters?

Hello,
How true that is but I'm more of a quarter and dollar kind of guy. I don't know maybe I should go get a couple cent rolls just to get my "fix" man who knew coin collecting could become such an addiction?
Thanks, Rich

Rich,
I'm an old quarter and old half-dollar kind of guy, so I understand. Having significant numbers of those to look through at my own leisure is not cheap.
More than once BadThad has mentioned how difficult it is to complete a high quality Lincoln Memorial Set. Which is quite ironic, because each coin can be purchased for a very small amount of money, once you find it. So, for now, I have taken up the challenge.
The problem I'm running into is I want to look for varieties, too, and I'm afraid I'm biting off more than I can chew. Coin tubes and cents everywhere. I might need to throttle back to a set list of varieties, rather than keeping every (non-cull) sorted by year.
There's a saying...a rut is nothing but a grave with both ends knocked out. So get out of that rut! :)

If you can find a little time, even if it's 5-10 minutes. It will make you feel good and get you out of your rut in a way because now, you just broke it by reading an article or two. You are also a member of this family, the CCF, so we will always be here like you

Quote: I don't know maybe I should go get a couple cent rolls just to get my "fix" I can't find half rolls right now so I broke down and got a box of cents yesterday so I could feed my addiction. I had to tear something open to search through. They will get be by for a few days anyway.

Yeah, eat some hot Mexican or Thai food, none of that gringo stuff. You'll catch up on your reading, and re-familiarize yourself with the nether regions of your anatomy.

Toilet time is for sudoku!
I agree with getting a box of cents to give you that quick "fix" if you're not able to go with your expensive habit at this time. But if time is your limiting factor that might not work either. =(
