This coin will come with what may be an amusing story.
To be told by our forum Mum (Susan) and perhaps by myself
but First you have to identify this coin.

Identification-And-Light-Reading

Has any one purchased one of these?

Yep, Atlantium, a coin-issuing microstate based in Sydney. I included them in my article on diplomatically-challenged coinage. It's old (2002), and some of the links there have fossilised.

Identification is correct

coin is available from The Empire of Atlantium
http://www.atlantium.org/buycoins.html

so I am taking the forum and the knights to the next step
by offering Citizenship in the Empire of Atlantium to any who are interested (IT'S FREE)
http://www.atlantium.org/citizenship.html

I have taken out Citizenship now not only do I have dual citizenships
Australia and USA I am now also a Citizen of Atlantium and I have been Appointed Director of Internal Affairs and Imperial Legate to Florida.

Here is a copy of the letter I sent to our forum Mum

Identification-And-Light-Reading
In the world of Numismatics, there are many countries that one may purchase coins from. Some of these countries are micro nations.

One such micro nation is the Empire of Atlantium

http://www.atlantium.org/

As of 16 Tertius, 10525 (30 March, 2006) They use a decimal calendar

I have been appointed Director of Internal Affairs for this country.

I will be responsible for the registrations of Citizenships and other affairs of State.

I have also been appointed Imperial Legate to Florida

Under the protocol of the Empire of Atlantium

I may now also be referred to as:

Superscription: His Excellency

Commencement: Sir

Personal address: Your Excellency

or

Director [:0][:0][:0]

Of course to the Coin community, I will always be rggoodie or Richard.

One of the interesting thins the empire offers to members of our community is not only an international Citizenship,

The Empire of Atlantium also has minted coins

http://www.atlantium.org/buycoins.html

so those who are seeking something different may purchase coins at the above link.

Nothing about me has changed; just I will now also give a little attention to some more duties in my life,

a special note to any and all of my Aussie mates:
Any of you blokes start snickering over this, & I'll have to take you out behind the dunny fill you with some VB or maybe XXXX and give you the old what for- I could only do it if you were full of XXXX or VB or some such nector

hope you all enjoy this post and I invite you to purchase some coins, stamps or just sign up for a Citizenship.

I'm very proud of His Excellency. It's like having pseudo-royalty on our forum. Unfortunately, there is no option in the dropdown box in his profile to change his country to Atlantium. That would give us another country for our International post!

Couldn't Atlantium manage a empire larger than 61 square metres? Hutt river province has 18,500 acres :p

We may be small in size but the population is growing.
Also Citizenship is free- Hutt river charges from $200.00- 500.00

We are working on a new release of coins
Looking for ideas for designs. Got any?
