*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***

Are those linear features raised, sunken, or completely flush with the coin's surface?

They're completely flush from what I can tell. The odd thing about it though is the lines are only visible at an angle. It looks like a normal dirty coin when placed next to another dime. Also I might add that it's not gunk on the surface because I tried to wipe it clean and it just stayed the same color with the same lines.
